How much does this cost?
This is free for the youth.
Adults who want to fish as well must pay a $25 fee.
What are the age ranges?
Under 8 must be accompanied by and adult.
8+ can accompany a volunteer
What happens if the child doesn't enjoy fishing?
The child has the option to call their parent or guardian and be picked up.
What happens if a child acts out(breaks things/hurts or endangers others)?
The trip is over and the child will not be allowed back into the program.
Where do the kids go if they need to use the bathroom?
The children should always use the bathroom at home before going fishing.
Some bodies of water have bathrooms or porta-potties nearby.

Can I accompany my child?
Absolutely, we promote parents joining their children fishing.
Can I participate even if I don't have a child?
We have adults only trips where it is $99 per person
Who can/can't participate in fishing friends?
Everyone can participate in Fishing Friends.
You must sign up and coordinate with us first.
What do adults need to bring?
Water
About the program
Where do we go fishing?
All around Hampden County. It depends on what we are fishing for that day.
How will we be fishing?
It is based on the age of the youth participating and their experience.
It also depends on the type of fish we are trying to catch.
Mainly Bass Fishing, it is the most common.
What are the safety precautions?
Our Programs Director is a Certified Red Cross Life Guard.
We teach water safety before, during, and after our trips.
What is provided to the youth?
We provide the fishing equipment, sunblock, hand sanitizer, and bug spray.
When are the trips?
Youth can go fishing weekdays after-school from 4-sunset.
Summer sessions: 8-11am, 12-3pm, 4-7pm.
How big are the groups?
2-4 youth per trip depending on the number of parents and volunteers.
How long are the trips?
Normally the trip are approximately 3 hours long.
(or until the participants are collectively ready to stop.)

How do I get a receipt for my donation?
Fishing Friends Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
Donors who itemize on their Tax Returns can receive a Tax Receipt.
Where do my donations go?
Your donation go to Fishing Friends Inc. and are used to teach youth about fishing.
Supplies to keep the Non Profit running and provide to the youth.
Insurance for the Non Profit to run securely and take care of the youth.
